How to Add Taxes to Your Products on Temzli #
Since Temzli does not automatically calculate or collect taxes on your behalf, it is your responsibility as a shop owner to include applicable taxes in your product pricing. Here’s how you can add taxes to your products:
1. Set Up Taxes in Your Products #
When listing a product, you can select the applicable tax rate for your location and customers.
- Standard Rate: Apply this rate to most products.
- Reduced Rate: Use for specific products where a lower tax rate applies.
- Zero Rate: For tax-exempt products.
If you sell globally, you may need to include taxes based on the destination country of the buyer. Ensure you’re familiar with the tax laws in the countries you’re selling to.
2. Add Tax to the Product Price #
When setting the price for your products, you need to add taxes on top of your base price if applicable.
For example, if your product costs $50 and your local tax rate is 21%, set your product price to $60,50 to include the tax.
3. Update Your Tax Settings #
Make sure your tax settings are accurate for each product, based on the type of product and the destination of your buyers. This ensures compliance with local tax regulations.
4. Customer Invoices #
Temzli will not generate tax-specific invoices for your customers. If you need to provide invoices that include taxes, you may need to create them manually or use an external tool.
