As a Temzli Shop Owner, it is essential that you have the rights or proper licenses to sell any material that incorporates third-party intellectual property, such as trademarks. This ensures that your products can be sold without legal risks, providing peace of mind for both you and your customers.
- Products containing visible trademarks are prohibited unless you can provide evidence of appropriate permission or a license from the trademark holder.
- Temzli reserves the right to request proof of this permission and may remove products without it.
Site Actions #
Communication & Support
Shop Owners must respond to outreach from the Temzli team within a reasonable time frame (typically within one week). Promptly addressing any inquiries from customers is key to success. While no specific response time is mandated, responding within 48 hours to customer messages is highly recommended.
Failure to respond may result in shop suspension or closure.
Product Update Feature #
Abuse of the Product Update feature (e.g., using it without a legitimate product update) is prohibited and can lead to shop suspension or removal.
Shop Updates Feature #
Using the Shop Updates feature for spam, promoting other marketplaces, or sharing content that violates Temzli’s content guidelines can result in the suspension or removal of your shop.
Product Tag Usage #
Tags help customers find your products. Temzli prohibits the use of:
- Derogatory or offensive tags
- Inaccurate or misleading tags
- Misuse of another shop owner’s or artist’s name
Violating these guidelines may lead to product removal or shop closure.
Product Descriptions, Titles, Screenshots, & Properties #
Product descriptions and properties should provide accurate and detailed information. They may not include:
- Links to purchase or download the same product from other marketplaces
- Custom license terms
- Misleading or dishonest information
Failure to comply can lead to product removal, refunds to customers, or shop closure.
Licensing Compliance #
Products must comply with Temzli’s licenses. Shop Owners cannot make limitations or extensions to the licenses, and cannot claim a license is “included” with a product. Failure to adhere to licensing terms may result in shop suspension or removal.
Product Files #
Including unrelated files, malware, third-party EULAs, or requiring customer contact information is strictly prohibited. Violations can lead to product removal or shop suspension.
Bundles and Packs #
You can create bundles or packs of your own products. However, you cannot curate bundles that include products from other shops or external contributors. This ensures a fair marketplace for all sellers.
Product Sales and Special Pricing #
All sales and promotions must be genuine and truthful, adhering to U.S. Fair Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines:
- Introductory Prices & Limited Time Sales: Products must have a real plan to increase the price if advertised as introductory or on limited-time sales. Sales must have clear start and end dates, and prices must change accordingly.
- Price Reductions: If advertising a price reduction (e.g., “formerly $X”), the previous price must have been valid for a reasonable time. Raising a price just to create a false discount is prohibited.
Failure to follow these rules may lead to product removal or shop suspension.
Third-Party Assets #
Shop Owners cannot include third-party assets (such as fonts or photos) within the product files unless they have the proper rights. Instead, clearly state in the product description that customers need to download the assets separately, and provide a link to the third-party resource.
Ensure that the third-party assets you recommend can be used in commercial projects, as many customers purchase products for that purpose.
By following these guidelines, you’ll help ensure a positive and compliant experience on Temzli for both you and your customers.
